On Monday, a video was shared on social media sites which shows the execution using a sledgehammer of a Russian mercenary who fled the Wagner group while f!ghting in Ukraine.
A video on a channel linked to Russian military contractor Wagner appears to show Crimean-born Dmitry Yakushchenko, 44, receiving a brutal blow to the head with a sledgehammer.
At a moment, the video blurs. There is a loud noise, and the victim falls backwards onto the floor.
The man swings the sledgehammer again.A caption then appears on the video, which says, “the court session is declared closed.”
